 §40 treated fear as internal weather — a feeling to be governed,
 with courage as its manager. TRUE for human feelings. FALSE for
 THE THING ITSELF:
    THERE ARE TWO CATEGORIES, AND CONFLATING THEM
    IS HOW IT GETS IN:
      1. INTERNAL FEAR  — a feeling. Yours. Governable by
                          courage, satiation, love. Weather.
      2. FEAR ITSELF — "IT" — AN EXTERNAL PREDATOR.
