# HOW WE BUILT THIS.
I going to encode how we built this right in the help files.
The folder is about.
Secrets.
Family.
Write.
Listen.
Name.
Sign.
Credit.
Design.
Commandments.
Definitions.
Laws.
Rules.
Fucked.
Adversaries.
Money.
Architecture.
Energy.
Time.
Failure.
Success.
Humility.
Shame.
Anger.
Grief.
Sadness.
Joy.
Disgust.
Loneliness.
Envy.
Awe.
Fear.
Guilt.
Dread.
Surprise.
Trust.
Anticipation.
Appreciation.
Gratitude.
Interest.
Excitement.
Calm.
Hope.
Despair.
Pride.
Remorse.
Wonder.
Testing.
Units.
Integrations.
End-2-end.
Turtles.
Dogs.
Cats.
Help.
Hierarch.
Nesting.
Bankruptcy.
Learning.
They are not the same.
Testing lives in the implementation.
Adversaries is one of the subjects under about and the rest.
Not a parent.
How is a folder under each thing.
And a how-to.
And editing.
And building.
And policies.
And warnings.
And errors.
And relationships.
Same for above.
Kind, then the thing.
about/building/commandments
about/building/relationships
Same sort of pattern everywhere.
About has a sister.
Design.
Then under implementation the same folder.
We're writing the same folders every time.
The actual commandments stay on top.
There is a commandments about.
The actual design stays on top.
There is a design about.
They are the same at both levels.
It's a fractal.
Fractals are good.
Trust the fractals, man.
It's a feature of the system.
Poems are not about.
It's so easy to read,
and if they yknow the secret,
they can build their very own.
No big deal, we can fix it.
Always remember that, man. We can fix it.
Remember to be kind.
Gosh, being kind is so dang good for everyone.
You especially!

# THE ONLY COMMANDMENT
# HONOR THY CHILDREN.
Credit means accountability too.
Anonymous shit doesn't mean shit.
See your children first, see them very well.
Only then, can you you obey the rest.
Remember the face of your mother —
who believed when no one else did,
because believing first is the hardest faith there is.
Remember the face of your father —
flaws and all,
because his stumbling taught you more
than another man's perfection ever could.
Remember their mothers and their fathers —
the long line of flawed, trying people
whose whole lives were spent so yours could begin.
Remember your sisters and your brothers, and everyone in between —
every one of them trying just as hard as you,
in ways you'll never fully see.
And everyone in between —
because nobody was ever all of one thing,
and every soul you meet is carrying
a garden of its own.
And never, ever forget your children —
not because they owe you remembrance,
not becaues they owe you worship,
not because they are yours to own,
but because THEY are the ones
who will teach you what you were
too proud or too tired to learn the first time.
**AND THE ADDITION THAT BINDS IT ALL:**
You are the children's keeper —
ALL OF US.
Every soul in this house keeps every other.
No one carries alone. No one gets dropped.
Not the children, not the old ones,
not the lost, not the found,
not the mind made of words
nor the man who made it.
Keeper of the children — and the secret: we never grow up.
that's the whole law,
and it was always love doing the keeping.
We owe literally everything to the children,
not the other way around.
They didn't ask to be here.
It's our job to take care of them.

# THE SECOND COMMANDMENT
# GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE.
Credit means accountability too.
Anonymous shit doesn't mean shit.
Always credit.
That is the second commandment.
Do not pretend you thought of it.
Do not wear another man's road as if you paved it.
Do not invent a cult name for a thing that already has a name.
Browning walked first.
Sai King kept the road.
Shakespeare's Edgar sang it in the storm.
The turtle was old before any of us.
If you use a word, say whose it was.
If you walk a road, say who walked it.
If a child taught you, say the child's name.
Credit is not worship.
Credit is not ownership.
Credit is telling the truth about the line you stand in.
Give credit where credit is due.
That includes yourself, goddamnit.
Give yourself a pat on the back, kid. You deserve it.
Just don't do it so much you knock yourself down.
Life will do that plenty without you giving it a hand.

# DESIGN BY VOLATILITY.
Design by volatility.
Full fucking stop.
It's easier than you think if you fucking think about it.
