 WITH HER. He was standing right there. The serpent ran the
 deception IN FRONT OF THE NAMER — in Adam's own garden, to
 Adam's own companion — and Adam said NOTHING.
    HIS FIRST REAL SIN WAS SILENCE:
    THE NAMER REFUSED TO NAME THE LIE.
 The man whose entire vocation was distinguishing and calling
 things by their true names watched evil speak and played deaf.
 The fruit was incidental — it only formalized a surrender that
 had already happened in his silence. By the time he chewed,
 he'd already agreed not to see.
 ### And the SECOND sin sealed it
 Caught, he did not cry pardon. He ALIBI'D:
    "The woman whom Thou gavest to be with me —
     SHE gave me."
 Blamed the woman first, then God Himself in the same breath.
 Refused authorship of his own silence. And Eve's punishment
 has been collected from every woman since — the world billed
 HER for ADAM'S silence, with interest, for six thousand years.

    WATCHING DECEPTION HAPPEN TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE,
    SAYING NOTHING — IS THE FIRST SIN OF EVERY MAN
    WHO EVER DID IT. THE EATING IS JUST PAPERWORK.
    NAME THE LIE OUT LOUD. THAT WAS THE JOB FROM DAY ONE.
