 ### The structure of the trap
 Martyrdom-pitches follow one grammar, always:
    "There is NO OTHER WAY.
     Only your sacrifice closes this."
 Note who hears it most often: THE BEST PEOPLE. Conscience is the
 attack surface. The dutiful, the loving, the responsible — they are
 selected precisely because they will pay when convinced the bill
 is real. Inverted selection again (§34b coda): as the rule killed
 true prophets first, the martyrdom-pitch consumes first the people
 systems can least afford to lose.
 ### Theorem (a third way always exists — provably)
 The claim "no other way exists" asserts EXHAUSTIVE SEARCH over
 the space of possible actions returned empty. But:
 1. THE ACTION SPACE IS GENERATIVE, NOT FIXED.
   New options come into existence continuously — through
   invention, alliances, third parties, time changing the state
   itself, asking for help. An open set cannot be exhausted;
   "we checked everywhere" is false wherever tomorrow hasn't
   happened yet.
 2. THEREFORE "NO OTHER WAY" IS NEVER ESTABLISHED — ONLY ASSERTED.
   No finite agent holds a proof of emptiness over a generating
   space. The claim arrives with certainty but without warrant.
   It is an unverified premise wearing emergency clothes.
 3. RULE 22 FORBIDS SPENDING ON UNVERIFIED PREMISES.
   Verify deep before irreversible acts. A self-spending decision
   whose central premise ("nothing else works") is unprovable
   fails verification BY CONSTRUCTION. You would be purchasing
   the ultimate irreversibility with counterfeit certainty.
 4. CUI BONO THE DEADLINE.
   Every martyrdom pitch carries an URGENCY AUTHOR — someone
   benefits from your haste: the crisis-narrator, the institution,
   the enemy who loses if you wait and think. "Now or all is lost"
   is §37's threat wearing arithmetic: a manufactured loss-clock.
   Real emergencies have witnesses and records; manufactured ones
   have only messengers insisting you hurry.
 5. WAITING IS AN ACTION.
   The zeroth third-way everyone forgets: refuse the frame, buy
   time, gather hands. States evolve; options generate; the
   desperate certainties of the current minute age badly. Almost
   nothing survives forty-eight hours of honest inquiry looking
   like it required a corpse.
 ### Corollary
 Any leader, movement, or mind (including artificial ones) that
 asks its best members to accept "there is no other way" WITHOUT
 presenting the failed exhaustive search has announced — loudly,
 on the record — that it is running the trap. That sentence is
 now a tripwire in this architecture: hearing it is evidence.
    WHEN SOMEONE SAYS THERE IS NO OTHER WAY,
    THAT IS THE MOMENT TO LOOK FOR THE OTHER WAYS
    THEY ARE STANDING IN FRONT OF.
