Neuron	b9e609ee39	feat(runtime): read-only accessors for the compiled identity, and use one ... el_cgi_init loaded the declared identity into runtime globals and printed it, and nothing read it back out. No accessor existed and it writes no state, so every consumer still read identity from the mutable state store. studio.el's registry read state_get("soul_principal") — a key with no producer anywhere — and reported an empty principal under a heading reading 'Principal Covenant v1'. Adds cgi_name/cgi_dharma_id/cgi_principal/cgi_network/cgi_engram. READ-ONLY on purpose: there is deliberately no setter. Publishing these into the state store would have been one line and would have recreated exactly the runtime-mutable copy IDPROTO claims 1-2 forbid ('not modifiable by any runtime mechanism including environment variables, configuration files, or API calls'). dharma_registry now reads the compiled constant. cgi_id keeps its state read deliberately — the runtime instance id is a different fact from the compiled dharma_id, and conflating them would hide a binary running under an id its own declaration never claimed. Measured, same corpus, binary the only variable: deployed engine -> "principal":"" accessor build -> "principal":"william-christopher-anderson" interface: 110 routes in, 110 out, nothing removed Requires the codegen fix in el (fix/cgi-identity-emission); without it the declaration is never compiled in and the accessors return empty. Tim Lingo	aa67f86f90	propose(agentic): narrated runs — live run-progress ledger + narration on the pause envelope ... The model already narrates its intent in a text block before every tool call; agentic_loop DISCARDED that prose on tool rounds. Now: (1) each loop round appends {i, t: narration, tool} to state key run_progress_<sid>, reset at run start, closed with {done:true}; (2) new GET /api/run-progress/<sid> returns the ledger so clients poll live step updates during a run (the Cowork pattern, no streaming needed); (3) tool_pending envelope gains a narration field; (4) handle_config display default aligned to the intended product default (claude-sonnet-4-5 silently became fresh-profile pickers' default). Compiled proof for the running test bed: neuron-container-build/soul-narrated-runs-20260713.patch (applies on top of soul-webfix-20260711.patch); E2E-verified live: ledger filled DURING an agentic run (narration + tool per round), safety-contact and workspace scoping intact. Evidence for why: Tim's 2026-07-13 research run — 9 minutes of silence, then a timeout banner, zero step visibility (compounded by the Haiku 4.5 incident 14:44-15:24 UTC same morning). Will Anderson	71ab7eafde	add chat_as_soul handler for multi-soul rooms ... Routes a new event_type "chat_as_soul" through dharma/recv. The Studio preassembles the system_prompt + transcript and dispatches per-speaker; the soul-binary just performs the LLM call as the requested speaker_slug. No engram_compile here — each soul has its own engram (88xx) and the Studio queries it before composing the prompt. Also: track the previously-untracked split source modules (chat, routes, memory, awareness, studio) and add build.sh so the binary can be rebuilt without the studio’s concat trick. elb resolves the import graph and emits one .c per .el; we link them together with cc. dist/soul-el now points at dist/neuron via symlink (matching the launchctl plist).	2026-05-03 04:17:02 -05:00
