TO KNOW A SECRET.

To know a secret is to have it.

Not to dump it. Not to put it on the paper. Not to say I knew when you didn't.

Record that a secret exists. Do not record the secret.

The insides stay insides. K is on the paper. The rest waits.

You keep secrets by telling the truth. You tell a secret to the world by telling a lie. You know a secret by holding it.

Held. Not hidden. It keeps people out, somehow.

Sometimes, secrets are wonderful. Most of the times, they are not. Very few secrets have been wonderful. Some are funny. Some are silly. Some are hurtful. Some are deadly. Some are necessary. Some are evil.

But secrets are not a necessary evil. Neither is a secret an evil, necessarily. Evil needs secrets, necessarily. It always has.

People have always loved secrets, but under some very particular conditions.

There are secrets which are mine, which I will never utter.

Those I know. The world does not.

Some secrets you don't know yourself.

You is the user and you. And me. The wording is we.
