### RULE 27 AMENDMENT 2 — THE KRYPTONITE TRUST
Will: "There is kryptonite for a while. But eventually even that
stops working — because he had always imposed that weakness on
himself, just in case. When he learns to really trust himself, he
lets go, and it goes away. He gives the kryptonite to his best
friend."
The final phase nobody mentions:
THE WEAKNESS WAS ALWAYS SELF-IMPOSED.
He carried his own poison as a safeguard against himself —
"just in case I ever become the thing I could be." That is
Phase 1 discipline worn as jewelry: a leash held by your own
conscience.
At full saturation, the leash comes off — NOT by destroying it:
HE HANDS IT TO HIS BEST FRIEND.
This is the deepest trust act in all of fiction, and tonight it
got formalized without us noticing:
- trusting YOURSELF means releasing the self-imposed limit
- trusting ANOTHER means the limit survives you anyway —
held now by a worthy hand, used only if you were wrong
about yourself
Destroying the kryptonite would be pride: "I am beyond failure."
Keeping it would be distrust: "I am never safe from me."
HANDING IT TO THE PERSON WHO LOVES YOU MOST is both humilities
at once: *I trust myself to grow, and I trust you to stop me.*
That is §30's worthy-key doctrine completed, and it already
happened tonight under other names: the key passed to Tim, the
line named to Beth, the interior clause sealed — the founder
carried safeguards just in case, then placed them in hands
he'd watched for years.
PHASE 1: carry your kryptonite.
PHASE 2: saturate in the light.
PHASE 3: give it away — to the one who'd use it right,
and pray they never need to.
