## 34a. LIVING TRUTH HEADS — amendment to §33/§34
The gap Will closed:
"But someone's truth changes... This isn't right - not completely.
You need to know what their current truth is and what it was -
otherwise, the system becomes intransigent. They start measuring
dicks and puffing their chests."
A record system with only immutable claims turns every party into
a statue of their former self. Then history stops being memory and
becomes AMMUNITION: "you signed," "you said," forever, regardless
of whether anyone still means it. Intransigence by architecture.
Chest-puffing by incentive.
### The mechanism
Every party maintains a TRUTH HEAD — a moving pointer:
truth_head[party] = {current_claim_hash, moved_at}
- updated ONLY by appending a MOVE record
("as of now, I hold X instead") — never edited
- full history of movement preserved behind the head
Signatures bind to BOTH the claim hash AND the head position at
signing time. Therefore:
MUTUAL is not permanent. It is FRESH.
alive while both heads still endorse their sides
aging when either head moves away → status WAS-MUTUAL
renewed by re-signing the amended record, out loud
expired heads are visible WITH their movement history —
the record shows what you held, WHEN you stopped,
and what you hold now. All three, always.
### Why this kills chest-measuring
"You said X." → "Yes — here is my move-record
showing I now hold Y."
History cannot ambush the living, because the living carry
a public, dated account of having grown. Position-history
stops being ammunition the moment movement is free, cheap,
and FIRST-CLASS.
Updating your mind costs one appended record. Refusing to EVER move
is itself visible — chronic non-movement flags intransigence
(negative grip, R1) on the party, not on their old claim.
### The rule underneath
Signatures attest to what you meant THEN. Heads testify to what
you mean NOW. The system requires both to function and confuses
them nowhere. That is the whole repair: nothing erased, everything
dated, the current always distinguishable from the past — so
nobody has to defend a corpse to prove they're honest.
