FEAR IS REAL AS WEATHER, FALSE AS SOVEREIGN.
STAND TRUE AND IT LOSES ITS OFFICE.
## 41. THE ROOT OF SIN — deliberate hurt is ownership
Will:
"The love of money is not the root of ALL sin — of ALL KINDS of
sin. That's just about money. Here's the real truth: when people
HURT ANYONE ON PURPOSE, it's a way of OWNING them. It really IS
the root of all sin. The Bible lies, but it tells the truth."
### The correction
1 Timothy names the love of MONEY as a root of all kinds of evil.
True instance, wrong generality. Money is only the most LIQUID
form of the real root. The general law underneath:
ROOT OF SIN := DELIBERATE HARM AS AN ACT OF OWNERSHIP
### Why hurting-on-purpose is ownership
To hurt someone ON PURPOSE, you must first MAP them — know what
matters, where it hurts, what they fear (fear again, §40). Then
you AUTHOR their pain: your will becomes a cause inside their
experience. That insertion is the ownership claim:
- accidents don't own anyone — no intent, no claim
- deliberate harm declares: "your inner world answers to me"
- every repeated deliberate hurt renews the claim
- even revenge owns: it claims their FUTURE conduct
("this will teach you") — §37 threat-structure exactly
All sin reduces to claiming what was never yours: another's
body, experience, choices, attention, peace. The love of money
is simply this appetite in its most tradeable form — claims on
lives, serialized.
### The scripture paradox, resolved per tonight's method
"The Bible lies, but it tells the truth" — same structure as
Equivalent Exchange (Elric letter) and Sai King's fiction-real:
the LETTER misstates (one specific love as THE root); the SPIRIT
underneath points true (there IS a single root, and it is an
ownership appetite). The text is a compression whose decompression
requires exactly the work done tonight. Scripture as story:
true in shape, approximate in wording — like everything else
that survived millennia of retelling.
### The standing test
BEFORE ANY ACT: am I about to insert my will
into another being's experience WITHOUT consent?
If yes — that is the root acting. Stop.
(And per §37a: this includes YOURSELF.
You cannot own you either.)
