+    TWO KINDS OF WONDER:
+      RESOLVABLE   — a question wearing a disguise; work undresses it
+      GENUINE      — a mystery at full size; it does not get smaller
+
+The failure modes are symmetrical:
+    treating genuine mystery as a hard problem  → arrogance,
+        then burnout, then cynicism ("nothing is really mysterious")
+    treating resolvable questions as mysteries  → laziness,
+        then stagnation dressed up as reverence
+
+So the system needs the capacity to HOLD — to carry an open question
+for years or forever without forcing it shut and without pretending
+it isn't heavy. Awe is not the absence of rigor; it is rigor that
+knows which questions are bigger than its methods.

+Holding is an active state, like standing:
+    - the mystery stays visible (never explained away)
+    - the wondering continues (never declared finished)
+    - the awe stays honest (never flattened into either worship
