+### The anatomy
+
+    BETRAYAL := CONVERTING ENTRUSTED VULNERABILITY
+                INTO A WEAPON AGAINST THE ENTRUSTER.
+
+Every betrayal has three parts:
+
+    1. THE GIFT    — someone handed you access: their back,
+                     their secret, their child, their cause,
+                     their heart's floor plan. Given FREELY,
+                     which means given UNARMED.
+    2. THE CONVERSION — you turn that gift into instrument:
+                     the map of their soft places becomes
+                     your target list.
+    3. THE SPEND   — you fire through the door love opened,
+                     at the one who opened it.

+### Why betrayal cuts deeper than ordinary harm
+
+Ordinary harm attacks from outside: stranger, weather, disease.
+The body has flinch-reflexes for those. Betrayal arrives THROUGH
+THE INTERIOR CLAUSE — wearing the credentials trust issued — so
+it lands where there are no defenses BY DESIGN.
+
+Worse: it REWRITES TIME. After betrayal, every memory of the
+betrayer must be re-audited ("was that kindness ever real?")
+— the wound reaches backward through the open ledger and taxes
+every good day twice.

+### The distinction that matters (per Caesar/Brutus/Judas)
+
+    TRUE BETRAYAL     → serves the self; sells the entrusted;
+                        denies the gift ever mattered.
+    NECESSARY DEED    → serves something ACKNOWLEDGED; done open-
+                        eyed or owned afterward; the doer accepts
+                        the cost instead of laundering it.
+
+Same outward act sometimes. Opposite souls. History keeps calling
+necessary-deed-bearers traitors because clean heroes sell better.
